can someone tell me what they believe to be reasonable cost to clean gutters.?

How many linear feet and height of the gutters plays a part in how much that would cost, as does location. But for a normal sized house, two stories, about $50 here in New York.

My dad owns a contractor business and he does it cheap. It varies on time though. Length and height should not matter that is stupid. It should be an hourly wage for the employee since there is NO equipment involved. They can use a garden hose to rinse it when done.
Now if you have easy to reach gutters without alot of weird angles. I suggest doing it yourself. You could ask a local neighbor kid to do it for 20 bucks provided there is a ladder available.

I clean peoples gutters for about 20-30 bucks with nothing but a ladder and a pucket with a trowel. If you pay somebody to to it "professionally" then you may be getting ripped off its more then 40 bucks for an average sized house. Time plays a factor when doing this, somebody with slanted roofs and multiple tiers to clean I will charge about 50 as it takes me almost an hour n a half.

It's so subjective- It hurts. I wonder what DR.Atkins would pay for a gutter cleaning? As You all know the are are only a smal percentage of people alive today who should be working on ladders. It's hard to walk on flat floors with steps your whole life and then be nimble on a ladder twice a year. We recommend against using neighborhood kids or gutter cleaning companies. What happens if the kid breaks his neck?. What happens when the gutter cleaning PRO!- electrocutes himself. For a $20-$30 job do you really think his insurance is up to date? his workers comp?. The most reliable and thorough service will cost at least $100 in our economy. You don't have to accept it though- Just watch the ice.
