Washing Machine Problem - Won't drain or spin, and electrical burning smell. Need some information!?

This is a Kenmore direct drive, 3 speed, washing contrivance. At first the problem was the piece of equipment would drain but wouldn't spin. I took it apart and the motor coupler was cracked, so I replaced it. I put everything put money on together, tested it, and the pump doesn't work and it won't spin. Plus, I get strong electrical burning smell.

I tested the continuity of the lid switch and that seem fine. I can hear the timer pause and see on, so that leads me to believe it's ok. I took the contrivance apart again, bypassed the lid switch, and turned it on. The motor isn't spinning at all and I still achieve the electrical burning smell.

I tried running some continuity checks on the motor and the capacitor, but I can't tell if I'm doing it right from the instructions I found online. I construe the motor is shot, but I'm also worried about the capacitor.

Any experience or suggestions would be severely helpful. I can't do anything until Monday because adjectives the parts stores are closed.

Thanks!
