Answers:    If there is outstandingly much of the plant left afterwards you might be able to go and get a cutting from it to grow. Sterilize a sharp blade with alcohol. Cut as ample of a leaf or portion of plant as possible. Let the cut finale dry, much like our skin make a scab. You might try putting it in front of a aficionado to speed up the drying. After it drys, set it on loose soil with the cut wind up down and forget about it for a while. Depending on the type of cactus, it might cart 6 months to form new roots. When you heave it, if some of the soil comes with it later you have strange roots. Set the newly rooted tip roughly speaking 1 inch deep into rich compost soil beside sand and perlite added for good drainage. Avoid peat moss because it is caustic. Planting it too deep or giving it too much hose down will make it rot again. At which point you may be capable of cut the bad constituent off and try again.
