How do you remove oxidation from brass bed rails?
Answers:
Flitz cleaner
Spray on metal polish cleaner
Western Metal Doctor cleaner
Brasso cleaner
Take the bed outside if you can if you cannot be sure and protect your carpet or flooring with plastic.
Remove your bedding and mattress read directions and go for it! Give yourself a few days to work at doing this because it could be very tiring. You might want to look for a sealer when you are finished so the oxidation takes longer to come back.
You can also buy brass paint. But if this is an antique I don't recommend doing this.
Other answers:
A brass cleaner called "Brasso." You can get it at any hardware store or probably the grocery store.

Is this a solid brass bed? Does it have a lacquer finish to protect the brass?
If it is brass plated, no amount of polishing will get you back to a bright brass finish. It it has a finished designed to keep the brass shiny and that finish is partially failed, then you will probably need to remove all of the protective finish and polish the whole bed to get a good looking final result.
Brasso does work well on solid brass, I've polished a lot of Army brass with it.
Mothers wheel cleaner. Get it at an auto parts store. If this is an antique, don't do this as it lowers the value.
