A brass bedstead 26yrs antediluvian, have developed "freckles" after 12 months living by the marine, how can I fix this?



Answers:    Are you sure it is brass or is it plated? If it is plated, it could be from rust and probably won't clean up thoroughly well.
A honourable brass polish to clean up the spots, followed up by a clear lacquer coating for adjectives protection, should do the trick.
