What is the going rate surrounded by the UK for wall tie replacement per m2?
Answers: It is unlikely that you will find a price per square metre for replacement cavity wall ties.
This is due to the fact that every property is different, both within the method of construction, materials used, and the vernacular style of the house itself.
A number of considerations own to be assesed "On site"
Is the property rendered, does the cavity have any insulation, and if so, what type. Is in attendance a gable end requiring scaffolding, did the property own tie wires when built, if so, why have they erstwhile. etc...etc.
Generally, replacing cavity wall ties is not a major undertaking. There are various replacement ties readily available and any competant builder would be capable of carry out the installation.
The work is carried out on the outside of the property, so should not disturb the interior at adjectives, and usually consists of drilling holes through the outer skin of the property, and fixing a special tie assembly to the inner leaf.
The ties should be fixed at 900 mm horizontally, and at 450 mm vertically. Any opening created to fix the ties should be made good, to meeting existing, by the contractor.
Follow the golden rule though.....Get at least 3 quotes. And, natter to the people while they are surveying, ask more or less other jobs they hold done, ask if you can go and inspect them.
I am not sure, but contained by business you get three quotes and choose the best! but personal useage, I don`t know a word of mouth recomendation would be your best bet!
as a builder i have never hear of this one before ..but the answer is at hand is no going rate to replace tie wires in England ..please notify us all why you want to know ....the possible process to do it would be to take down the inside wall and drill and fix ties to the outside skin ..but the cost would be horrific
i guess you aim tiles not ties as unlike silly builder i guessed just typing error.... on a modest area it around twenty to twenty five pounds per m2 on spanking new or prepared areas but on such work quality counts so try find a recomended tiler
