Lift the lid - see the ballcock - follow arm to end and adjust screw down to lower height - job done - 5 mins max -

it is depend how big the damages ,how long he will steal to repair it and if he is going to bring some materials to replace it

How is it leak? Is water continually running into the bowl? If so, it is a simple adjustment on the fill-valve or ballcock. If it is broken, it will call for to be replaced and this means removing the cistern and installing a new one beside tank gasket.
