I have a six burner 60" O'Keefe and Merritt store out of an estate here in Montecito, CA. I restored it several years ago and it works great. Because of the oven pilot lights, it produces a lot of heat and wasted gas. Can I convert it to an electronic ignition?

You could, but it would be a lot of work and may not be worth it. Personally, I prefer cooking with gas and would never want to convert to electric. If you are not using the oven every day, perhaps you could turn off the pilot lights and relight them when you want to use the oven.
