What's wrong with my home phone?
a) The volume seems low and staticy. Even when I put it on the highest level it seems awfully quiet.
b) It has 3 bars to indicate battery life. When it goes down to two bars, one time I put it on the charger like 5 minutes after it had gone down to 2 bars. It took over 2 hours for it to return to three bars, which makes no sense. Why would it take that long when it had just skipped from 3 to 2 in less then 5 minutes?
I do have DSL if anyone is wondering
Answers:
1. Unfortunatly, many phones are quiet. If it has gotten quieter than something is wrong with it. Unfortunitly again, the electronic phones of today cannot really be fixed.
2. It depends on what kind of battery you have. It is probably either a Li-Ion or a Ni-Cad battery. In the case of Li-Ion batteries, these loose their maxium charge over time, whether they are used or not. They loose about 20% per year. If it is a Ni-Cad, then charging it funny as in not fully discharging then charging can harm the battery. Best but a new one in either case.

the government taps all of your phones, i am not kidding, they also have satilites taking pictures of our houses.
Try a different phone on that line. It could be a bad phone. My Panasonic phone did the same thing so I went out and bought a new one and now no longer have that problem.
If its rechargeable battery .. then the life span of the battery is finished .. get a new battery
The government has put a recording/tracking chip in your brain and when you use your phone, it is siphoning power from the phone.
Did you instal the DSL inLine filter on the jack that your phone Line is connected to ?
