How do you get more than one use per can of PVC cement?? The blue gunk from Oakley is what I'm taking about.

Use it once - cap it up tight - but invariably it is all jellied up and unusable the next time you go to use some.

Answers:
i make sure i don't leave the can open except to dip and swab then i close it quickly and i get quite a few uses out of 1 can.also make sure you clean top of can(the threads) when sealing to store.

Other answers:
Buy the smallest can possible as it is nearly impossible to save that stuff after the can is opened.
One trick that will at least extend the life afer first opening is to tip can upside down after each use. This coats the seal on the can and tends to keep the goop solvent for a little longer.
There is solvent made to rejuvinate that stuff. Xylene or something like that. I don't think it's worth it though.
I've tried all ways and I just buy small cans. It's cheap stuff really.
Be sure you are prepared to use pliers to open the can if you do use the above mentioned seal technique. You may even have to tear the cap off to get that second use! Ha!

Yup it is just one of those things once you open it its days are numbered. Even if you can loosen it with a solvent what good is its strength after
