1) Replace the door with a slotted door. A door beside slats in it that allow for nouns flow to pass through.
2) Cut sour the bottom of the door to 1.5" - 2" above the floor or carpet to allow for better nouns movement.
3) Install a register in the closet. Be mean though. And get a qualified HVAC company to size the duct so that you should just need going on for 40cfm in a closet. Just adequate air to create movement.
