Does hair in the toilet matter?

When hair falls into the toilet, would it tend to collect in the plumbing and plug up anything? I don't know if hair is biodegradable. I know hair can collect in the sink and shower drains and plug up plumbing.

Answers:
normaly, no, it shouldn't be a problem, as it will just flush throught the system and be gone, however, if a lot of hair gets fluched down at one time, the higher the chance of the hair getting caught in the plumbing, and then it gets even more trapped, then it gets backed-up and so on.... be aware you run a SLIGHT chance, no matter how much gets flushed down. when in doubt, just throw it away!

Other answers:
Hair is biodegradable and nothing to worry about in the toilet. It can be gotten rid of with bleach. I've been putting hair in my toilet for years and nothing has happened yet. The pipe of a toilet is large as apposed to that of a sink and I have clogged my sink with hair but bleach took care of that to.
