nickels glued to top of blades.if achor problem,i use a piece of 1x4 pine board or similar wood stock about 18 in long.i screw this into two of the ceiling joists and then fasten the fans bracket plate to this.paint or finish as you like.
How wobbly are we talking about? You can try taping quarters or some other kind of weight on a fin or another until you figure out what will balance it out.

First off you need to find out if it was designed to wobble! Some ceiling fans are called orbital units. They are designed this way to direct the air in a wider patern. You can tell if this is the case by looking to see if the fan is hung on a ball shaped bracket.
A certain part is probably just loose. Your best bet is to remove everything except the main piece (the part w/ the wires, etc....probably the piece you hooked up first) and put it back together again, tightening the screws, etc. If that doesn't work, try getting help from a professional. first of all is it new? if so i take it back because something is wrong. i have never heard of a ceiling kan being designed to wobble(may be) but mine do not. also quality is very important, i just bought a display special order fan very heavy went into attic installed 2x4 for strenght and it is beautiful no wobble. sure they give you balancing weights but have never needed them because i take the fan back.
Just return it and buy another one. Fans should not wobble.
It is most probably out of balance, 9 times out of 10 a ceiling fan will install with no problems at all. I install them all the time. Your fan should have come with a balance kit. Follow the instructions on the kit, usually you have to run the fan on high and adjust the weights till you get the result you want then peel and stick. You can use coinage for a low cost method.

maybe u have to take it apart, and see if bolts that secure it to the ceiling are loose.
