Answers: Yes, it is indeed possible to increase pressure right on the head.
You can do that by DECREASING the total square inches that generate up the nozzle. IE count the holes in the nozzle. Get a nozzle next to fewer holes and it will give up a higher pressure at the nozzle.
What happen here, is that there is LESS flow and it will shoot out near more power(higher velocity) thru fewer holes. Its something approaching a really small orifice it really blasts out of a small orifice, that is the pressure is especially high. BUT given matching set up and a large ample orifice, the velocity out of there is drastically very slow. That happen exactly in a sea hose nozzle when you crank it down, higher velocity, smaller number flow. Lower flow higher velocity. Simple as that
