Concrete Laying and Stencilling - give a hand!?
Answers: Concrete have the tendency to crack, but this soon?? It would appear that something be done wrong, wrong mix, to fast a cure are two possible answers. The sorrowful this is that this will most definitely procure worse over time...hopefully they put expansion joints surrounded by.
I wouldn't be worried about it structurally ....... small cracks come about to poured concrete, and it is hard to point the finger at any one root for it. i.e. slump test, nouns in the mix, impolite forming, ground tamping and drainage. However a 1 mm crack is obvious, and is quite inopportune on a newly finished poured surface, especially a stenciled surface that be designed to look a certain road.
There are companies that specialize in slab-jacking that can pull a certain fragment of a slab to make a crack smaller amount noticeable. However I would merely recommend that years down the road, and only if the crack become quite larger, and I outstandingly doubt that it will. Slab-jacking is an expensive procedure as well, and is usually used for slanting slabs for sea drainage reasons. I enjoy a feeling that you spot the crack because you know that it is there.... your friends and neighbors might freshly think that you hold a beautiful tentative driveway.
P.S. I am assuming that they cut your concrete for controlled cracking in the first place. I hope I help a little.
Of course that crack shouldn't be appearing. No crack should appear directly after the employment was poured. Any crack allows river to enter. Over time, freeze will cause the dampen to expand and heave the concrete. Where does the company "reckon" the crack have to be 7mm? Did you sign any sort of agreement that binds you to accepting anything less than a 7mm crack? The party you talked to within fair trading may not even know what they're chitchat about. I reflect I'd run this situation past a legal representative and see what they "reckon" the situation to be. As you said, you paid apt money and made sacrifices to own the work done. You should not be made to accept sub-standard work! interval, dot, period.

p.s. not that you have to adopt it, but how long does the company have warranty for beneath their "so-called" 7mm crack? Seems this crack will continue to grow...
Carefully put silicone within the crack, I saw this done once to stop the water getting contained by and making the crack bigger, I didn't believe it but, apparently it's true.
