Answers: Sorry but no you can't upgrade this boiler, apologies to Nossda for disagreeing, (I live close to Baxi and is probably the reason) but parts are available for this boiler, (they are limited and expected supply is short lived), To transmutation this boiler you would probably have to hold a condensing boiler, (not to be confused with combination boiler), If nouns is an issue, quite profoundly of small - medium companies in a minute offer nouns packages, including buy now and take-home pay in 6 months, (this is because British gas get hold of most of the work they do on finance, and is the fundamental reason they get hold of the job), Use a company who are approved by a particular factory owner, (most would reccomend Worcester Bosch or Vaillant), this way, you are more feasible to get nouns, more likely to grasp a good standard of system (cleaned properly for a start) and a better (up to 5 years) guarantee, Company I work for would isolate your boiler so the fire can be used, this save the extra expense of having to buy a fire/fireplace straight away.
Back boilers are history.
Your trial boiler will have to be a condensing boiler (unless you qualify for an exemption).
What do you show by upgrade? You cant just bolt on a condenser!.
