Why isn't my office cooling down?
Also the office is enclosed no windows so there isn't much air flowing in and out.
Answers:
you just answered your question...you need warm air returns to circulate the room's air of a better air diffuser.
Other answers:
because u r soooooo hot????????????
because u r soooooo hot????????????
are you real sexy? cuz that could be why.
have you plugged it in?
check your filter and fan speed.....if its particulary hot where you are then it just may not be able to keep up
Because some giant kid has a giant magnifying glass focused on your office.
Two possible reasons: (1) If the temperature gets too high, your air conditioner is probably too small to keep up, so it can't put out cool air fast enough. (2) Portable A/C units create heat to put out cold air, and you said your office has no windows, so where is the A/C unit sending the hot air it creates? If you don't have a way to pipe that hot exhaust air outside, it's all getting recirculated back into your office.
In portable AC there are 2 vents, one is for bringing fresh air from outside to cool the condenser & the other is for taking the hot air outside (heated by the condenser). Connect pipes with these vents & leave the pipe opening outside your office door. It will start cooling your room.
You need air supply and air return. With a self contained unit the condensing coils must be outside.cut a hole the size of the unit and install it. room air in the front cool air out the top.If it is a central unit with flex duct to each hole in the wall, connect all supply and return without air leaks.Blow from one side pull from the other
Incorrect installation. 10,000 BTUS of cooling should freeze you out of a space that size. It should be OK to vent the hot air up into the ceiling provided you ran some kind of duct from the exhaust of the unit to a properly sized and sealed hole in the ceiling. You must also block any other vents in the room and ceiling. Sounds like you are just circulating the exhaust heat with the cool air which will result in a slight heat gain on the room.
I could swear that those portable A/C units come with an instruction booklet. Try reading the instructions next time. Duh!
