MAKE SURE THE POWER IS OFF!!
Then put on your rubber gloves & pull it out. EWWWW! Then take a flat head screww driver and "push" the grinding mechanism around to make it turn a little. That should get it going again. Next time run your water and put things down a little at a time. GOOD LUCK

take off the cover to it and take out the peels.
UNPLUG IT FIRST
then scoop out what you can by hand, maybe use a wet vac on the rest, and take the pipe leaving the disposal off- that's prolly clogged too.

take afork and push them down... then turn on the disposal (make sure you move the fork lol
Turn the disposal off and stick something like a plastic spoon or something down there. Wiggle it around, take the spoon out and try turning it on again while running the water.
use tongs.get out all you can, use a plunger, keep turning on the disposal. takes a couple minutes but it works.
make sure the switch is off and no one touches it; unplug it if in doubt.
Use your hand and remove as much as you can.
then turn on faucet and run the disposer.
If it's jammed, you need a special wrench that should have come with the disposer.
Disposers usually come with a long warranty. My insinkerastor 777 came with a 7 year warranty. just give them a call and they will come fix it for you.
Most garbage disposals come with a large Allen wrench. You insert it into a hole in the center of the bottom cover. This allow you to turn it in reverse to clear the blockage. Lots of luck!
You should not peel potatoes..The skin is very tasty and is very healthy.
All of the above, but if you have to peel your potatoes, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER put the peels in the garbage disposal or it will plug up again.
