how to bury downspouts?
Answers:
the person above me is talking about a french drain. you want to dig your trench so it is always getting lower. it will have to go somwere that it will drain properly. the trench should be at least eight inches wide.and lay a perferated black plastic pipe in their. fill the whole thing with gravel. put a thin (2 or 3 inches) of top soil and seed it. french drains are great for anywhere that you have water problemsl. a friend of mine had a supper muddy back yard. he put a huge french drain system in(one main line with a grid of lines connected to it) a week after it rained. their was still a substantial amount of water coming out of the outlet pipe. like, more than if you put a hose on the line.

Form a drain under it, then feed it into it.
Dig a trench starting at the downspout and leading away from your house. Lay perforated pipe in trench and cover with gravel, then put soil on top and seed.
