Microwave turns on by itself and get remarkably hot?

Hi,

I have a Maytag wall Microwave element (model # MMV1153AAW). It suddenly turned on by itself and got remarkably hot. There was also a intensely bad smell that smelled close to burned plastic. We were not competent to turn it off no event what button we push on the unit. I have to disconnect it to shut it off. I own not tried to turn it back on afraid of fire or something.

Has anyone see this before and what can I do to fix?
