I tried replacing the battery within the thermostat, but the unit will come on for 2 second then cut stale..then come support on and stay on until the air temp match the thermostat setting. This electric(not gas)central heating and cooling element is not a heat pump..it is a split element. I have matching trouble in the summer time near the a.c. unit as I do beside the electric furnace.
Answers: have someone check the furnace relay or the sequencer
