Why won't my toilet flush?
Answers:
Check the handle inside the tank to be sure it isn't broken. If so, replace. Not broken - then check the chain to see if it is attached to the handle and flush valve. If not, reattach or replace. If both are ok, check for a clog and try plunger. Plumbers snake could also be used. No luck yet, call a professional to check for clog further in your sewer line.

call a plumber.
did you clog it? open the top of the back and there is something back there you are suppost to tighten when this happens. i would suggest finding a plumber.
Could be the chain from the handle to the flapper is broken. Look inside your tank and see. They sell replacement parts at wal-mart.
mike
open the top up and d look at It
Open the plate on top of the toilet maybe its has no water.
If you have a clogged drain/commode or either there is no water in the tank or the handle is not attached to the float to empty tank.
Yeah, that's simple. For a 20 year plumber.
Gravity is the ruler of "most" all plumbing problems. . .
I hate it when this happens to me but sometimes its just the little ball. First open the top, then try to flush the toilet and see what happens on the inside. If its a ball thats loose all you have to do is just put it back in the hole. Dont know if this will help you.
Take the top of the tank off.Is there water in the tank?? If so then jiggle the handel to see why its not pulling up the flapper(rubber thing on bottom of tank).
You need a plunger and some toilet unclogging liquid. maybe its broken try checking if the connection with the toilet pump thing is connected try the handle when you open the lid and check. if the toilet tank is not full of water it wont flush so you have to wait like 2 minutes for the tank to fill after you want to flush again. may be you need a new toilet. well good luck and if nothing you try works then a plumber is your best bet.
It sounds to me like the chain that goes from the lever to the flapything. All you need to do is if it is a chain then get a pair of pliers and re crimp it. If it is plastic then you are going to need a whole new piece. When my chain broke like that all I had to fix it was dental floss but it held really well. Good luck sorry for the not very good terminology. Hope it helps OH YEA AND TURN OFF THE WATER BEFORE YOU WORK ON IT.
Check if there is water in the tank. And check if the water supply is on.
Check if the chain that attaches from the handle to the flapper(the rubber part that sits in the bottom of the tank and lifts up to flush the water out) is not broken. A temporary fix of the chain is to use fishing line.
