I have a Kenmore Refrigerator with the defrost heater staying on,any help on this would be appreciated !!?

I did replace the defrost timer, but the heater is still on ! the unit is about 4 to 5 years old !

If you can read a schematic disconnect the heater and go to manual defrost. Otherwise, call the service company and reach for your billfold...........
