My Hotpoint fridge is lately not cooling in good health.It is 3 years old-fashioned and be working fine till only just?
In the thermostat (1 to 6) which is coolest number??
Answers: look below the crisper there is a plug in that that needs cleaning or move it out a approach from the wall or there might be dust on the coils or below the bottom vent
Not sure about the thermostat setting - it should indicate which direction is colder.
Try cleaning the coils at the back and underneath to improve the cooling success. Another thing to check is whether the condensate tube is clogged. A third article to check are the door seals. All of these are pretty flowing to fix.
6 is cooler. My hotpoint fridge is fine and had it for 3-4 years too. I other have my fridge on around 3. But i turn it up to 4 in hot summers.
6 is the coolest. Try not to overfill as this can raison d`¨ētre problems as the air wishes to circulate. Make sure the door is closing properly and it could be the thermostat itself. I think it could be that you hold had on 1 instead of around 3. Shouldn't want higher than this.......
Hello at hand, perhaps the heat has gone up, it have been for a moment warmer just this minute. The temp gauge is warmest at 1 and will find cooler as you turn it to 6, turn it up one or two places then walk out it for 24 hours and see if that helps. GOOD LUCK
