When it rain, one side of my house get flooded?

Whenever it rains, in the order of a 4 foot length on the side of my house gets flooded next to about 1-2 inches of sea...Is this going to undermine my foundation? I'm not sure what to do because this side is adjectives cement, but is sloped a bit downwards so water other accumulates within this small section. Should I be worried just about it? I live in california too, so near really isn't much rain...

Answers:    Yes, you should be concerned. Water concentrated close to your foundation is always a impossible idea. Simple things to do can include, redirect the falling water, regrade property where on earth needed to direct water away from house, verbs downspouts, attach corragated pipe or extensions to downspouts to move water further away from foundation. If you own a basement (probably not within california) you can install a sump pump to remove water below the basement flood. This will not lone remove water, but also the hose pressure. My personal favorite other than adjectives the above, it to go rent a Ditchwitch at the local rental center (probably lower than $100 for the day) and dig a trench around the entire house. Before doing this hold all your electric, phone, sewer etc lines streaked. Digrite in my nouns is free and actually required for the homeowner to phone up. The utilities will come out and mark the lines. This course you don't cut any of them. Anyway, make a ditch around the adjectives house about a 18"-24" wide. Go to Home Depot or the local home center and get the corragated pipe. A 100' is in the region of $20-$30 bucks. Get the kind near the holes in it and the sock. Lay the pipe, cover beside gravel, recover near dirt, seed and your done. Run the pipe around the house from the great pipe sloped slightly down hill to the lowest point away from the house. As the sea level within the ground rises to that point is will reroute water away from the house. As the surface marine accumulates it will drain through the gravel into the pipe and down away from the house. This can be done for resembling $200 and a weekends worth of time. Not only will this solve the problem, but I would have an idea that would also be a bit of a selling feature to the subsequent home owner. Everyone hates marine issues and knowing this extra step has be taken will make population feel more at help. Good luck
Can you do something to drain the water away from this nouns? Don't know what sort of foundation you have, but it is never a moral idea to sign out standing water around your house.
