When the receptacle they are plugged into are most likely not wired next to 10 gauge or larger chain?
Answers: Yea it's stupid because most homes are wired for 12 or 14 gauge and if you use 10 quantify it will burn the wires up in your home. They really aren't accurate for much except for powering something that needs a longer run, for example from the house to a separate garage.
