Does anybody know proper instructions on replacing a bathroom faucet?

My bathroom sink water valve need to be replaced and the marine hoes are old copper ones that gotta move about... any webpage or book I should look into?

Answers:    get the white lines that are already made up at a plumbing supply store and relocate out the old ones! Good Luck!
I don't know what to do near the copper piping, but I know when we replaced the one here, we just turned the hose off (valve surrounded by the basement), and then purely took the old one bad, hooked the new one up, and later turned the water posterior on.... pretty much.
There should be instructions in up to date ones though...

But I also found a link, sourced below. It didn't read out anything about copper but I hope you will find it advantageous.

Good luck! :)
There are too many kind to be able to give an account you anything definitive. try www.howstuffworks.com and www.doityourself.com

IF you feel comfortable taking apart your faucet, the first entry to do is turn off the sea under the sink, later disassemble everything ( water lines and faucets) and pinch them to a good hardware store for replacement/upgrade parts. (Good luck finding someone at a 'big-box' home center.) Consider a latest faucet instead. Removing the WHOLE assembly, from under the sink, will lift at least an hour on your put a bet on, with the boundary of the cabinet digging into your spine, even with a rolled-up towel underneath you. If you have the type of single-handle on-off, hot-cold mixing spout handle, pinch the cover off, unscrew the toy with, take rotten the bonnet/retaining nut, then the stem-ball out: near will be 2 black, small rubber cup-shaped washers, with a small spring lower than each washer. The springs recurrently get compressed, but more habitually, the stem-ball is either worn, the bonnet nut wasn't tight satisfactory, or the faucet was assembled inappropriately. Take the washers and springs to the store and get duplicates, person aware that those items come in different sizes: gain the right ones. If you have separate hot and cold handle, take the fiddle with off, unscrew the bonnet/packing nut, consequently put the handles stern on and back the stopcock stems out; take the tap stems to the store with you and any get different stems or just the washers.
Here is what you requirement to do. Turn off the sea under the sink. Turn the faucet on to net sure the valves enjoy shut off the hose to the faucet. Remove the old supply lines. Some hose down my spill out this is normal. Remove the ancient faucet by disconnecting the pop up trip lever this is the thing that you verbs up on to close the stopper. Unscrew the nuts holding the faucet on. You my need a mixing bowl wrench to do this. For installation place the new faucet into the holes subsequent tighten the nuts but not to tight the new faucets today use plastic nuts. Place the trip lever through the hole surrounded by the faucet if applicable . Then connect your flex supply lines to the faucet and the valves. Next turn on the hose down and check for leaks.
Hope this help.
Hopefully you have shutoff valve, shut off marine under the sink or at largest supply, remove the two nuts on both sides of faucet. Take it to your favorite hardware store or wherever you shop and show someboby within plumbing. They should set you up with unsullied supply lines and faucet. Installing the new one should be alot easier than removing the ancient one. Good Luck
