i turned my a/c on todday and it will not come on. why?
Answers:
was the outside and inside unit doesn't turn on? check the breaker and the thermal protection, reset it both... or the unit doesn't cooled clean the air filter, then check the thermostat if it is set at the desired temp... if the inside unit is running and the outside unit doesn't but the outside fan is running, you have a blown capacitor replaced it... check the pressure, if the high and low pressure is not close to 250psig and 65 psig you have to put it with refrigerant ...

is it a window unit? If so it might need to be plugged in or the filter needs to be cleaned. If its a Wall unit it might need to be cleaned or a regular check up might need to be done, you don't wanna fire to start!

You may want to check your fuse box to make sure the circuit hasn't blown. A flip of the switch may be all it needs to get you up and running again. I have this happen sometimes when running power tools like my leaf blower. Good luck.
