Paralum beam. Posts rest on subfloor or sole plate?

Hi,
I am putting in a Paralum beam in my addition. Should I put the trimmer studs on top of the sole plate or can I have them resting on the subfloor? Thanks for your time

Answers:
They always rest on the sole plate, the weight is trans ford from the bottom up,you should have a jack post below your sub floor, this carries the wait evenly to the top of your para lam beam. You have to have the amount of jack studs for the with of the beam, and a trimmer stud on each side.
