I have a 5.0 HP Sears snow blower Model 536.885214 that's ~4 years feeble. Is there some process to tell when it is time to move the auger? Do they have wear grades like tires, do they ending forever, do they dull, should they be changed every few years? just curious
sorry this ask is way out of season back the winter, but i'm doing some fall planning :)
Answers:
When it does not clear adjectives the snow-it will leave roughly one inch-the auger is worn out.You should get around 10 years out of the auger for residential use.They never get sharpened.
