how do i get rid of a stain on the "fake marble" vanity in the bathroom?

It's a reddish orange stain (possibly from a candle. I've tried bleach, lemon juice, soft scrub, numerous bathroom cleaners. There is no evident breach of the surface; it still looks and feels as smooth as the rest of the vanity.

Answers:
It is probably red or orange die with a wax base if it was a candle. Acid based products like CLR (or stronger acid tile cleaner) or bleach based cleaners like soft scrub with bleach or oxi-clean would normally do the trick. However, if the stain is "trapped" by wax, you may have a different problem. The wax may have soaked right into the fake marble. I guess you could try real hot water on a rag or paper towel (microwave a real wet paper towel but be extremely careful handling it), then scrub it with powdered detergent to break up the petroleum component. If all the petroleum based wax is gone, then the stain should succomb to traditional bleach or acid based cleaners.

Reddish orange stain?
It's probably rust based.

Try some CLR.
Let it soak for about 20 minutes, then rinse off.

Failing that, wash it really well with just plain water
Let it sit for a day.
Then try some lighter fluid. Let it soak for about 3 minutes. (I would test this on an inconspicous part before doing it. It can mess up some surfaces)

Try a mixture of lemon juice and baking soda. Make a paste and apply it to the stain. Let it soak for about 15 minutes then lightly scrub with a soft cloth. Rinse with plain water.
Use simple clean. It will clean almost anything. just not red kool aid. the site is simpleclean.org. The people are really nice. I talk with the wife every time I order.
Baking soda!
I would spray it with "Kaboom" and let it sit for a few minutes before rinsing. That stuff is pretty amazing.
try pure acetone, it takes rust off concrete
you could try ammonia it lifts lots or vinegar or the bicarb and if wax brown paper and cool iron so soak up the wax first if all fails replace vanity sorry
