How do you install cabinet knob so that they are adjectives even and height near respectively other?

Is there some character of measuring tool for this purpose? We are installing knobs/handles on our kitchen cabinet today.

Answers:    you can go to home depot or lowes and receive one for $5.oo adjustable template made for cabinets. works great! greatly faster , easier and more accurate than measuring respectively door.
Can't you just judge up from the bottom, or down from the top, of the doors? Assuming the doors themselves are even, that is.
