Hi, has anyone out here got any apt tips about Undoing the Union Nuts on my Central Heating Pump, as it is getting loud and needs replacing, i am face with have to drain the whole system and thieve the pump off next to the service valves as resourcefully. I Don't want to do this as my heating system is a bit of a pig to stock up.

Use WD40 on the nuts and allow them to soak overnight.
You will then necessitate two stilson wrenches, one on the top nut and one on the lower nut, use them to turn the nuts against each other.
Never have it fail !!
