what does a roof certificate look like?

A roof certificate is only something the Contractor has made up. There is no such document, because each individual Contractor puts on the roof and gives it a certain guarantee that it wont leak..(Usually when its sunshine all day long, its as good as the guarantee :)
If you get a "fly by night" Contractor, then your out of luck, when he flies the County. That is why its best to deal with an established Contractor from your area, and get EVERYTHING in writing!!
(I mean everything from the tinies nut and bolt you want, to what type of wood or what not,
BECAUSE IF IT AINT IN THERE...IT AINT IN THE CONTRACT AND THEY ARE "NOT" GOING TO SUPPLY IT!)...
NEVER TAKE THIER 'WORD' FOR IT EITHER!! IT HAS TO BE WRITTEN DOWN, to hold up in Court.
