We are looking at purchasing a forclosed home for much less than the appraised appeal. The problem is some of the floor is sloping. Wood floor is bowing upward and there are some cracks surrounded by the walls. Some obvious uneveness. Any guesstimates? Thanks!
Answers: i don't hold an exact estimate, but to fix a foundation with such issues would be extremely timely and expensive. if here are cracks in the foundation and it is sinking contained by certain places this medium that the foundation is faulty due to dysfunctional footers. don't bother. unless you close to living with these problems, don't buy the house.
