how do you get a bad smell out of a hard wood floor?

very strong odor soaked into unsealed wood floor

Answers:
Baking soda - sprinkle it on the affected area and leave it at least 30 minutes (overnight if possible) before cleaning up.

Other answers:
lightly scrub coarse salt on it. It works with wooden cutting boards so maybe it will work on wood floor? It can't hurt to try.

Oxy-Clean gets out odors.
Seal it in polyurethane and it will seal the odor in, you need to find out why your floor has an odor as well, is there mold underneath it? on top of it? it is easy to fix the symptoms but what is the problem?
Try squeezing in lime/lemons while mopping.
