What does it mean when a dehumidifier coils freeze?

I have two dehumidifiers and noticed that the coils on the back of them have formed ice.

Answers:
You are either running it on too high of A setting, or your filter needs cleaning.

Other answers:
they must be on the cold setting and they are over worked.... let them warm up and clean them off, then warm up the setting a bit

Thats how a dehumidifier works. It gets cold and condensation forms. Just like water forms on the outside of a cold glass.
If it ices up too much turn it off and let it thaw and turn it on again.
