Ground stabilization for house?

What methods can be used when the walls on the house crack, the doors stick, the floors crack. The ground is red clay dirt and is very dry due to the drought situation.

this can either be a very expensive or relatively cheap depending on the problem but either way to avoid being ripped off id check with a structural engineer, your home insurance should be able to help out as it is cheaper for them now then when the house is condemned, but this probably will not be a DIY job unless you have access to some heavy construction equipment,
