I have a really bright kerosene lamp with the fluffy right on top of a standalone plastic supporter. I think I vanished it on for a while last hours of darkness. Today, I turned OFF the lamp and gone for a while, came backbone, and found that there be a melted yellowish-orange depression that feel slightly warm.
So is this precarious enough to throw it away?
Answers: ya i would,
and i would transform the bulb or get a hurricane lantern that wont melt stuff,
You are using a bulb that the wattage is not recomended for the storm lantern..this could cause the oil lamp to catch in flames..get a 40 watt bulb..sounds approaching your using a 100 watt..
