How do I increase air flow through my A/C?
Answers:
Since you mentioned "vents" I'll assume you are speaking of a forced air heating and cooling system. If so...........
1. Check for dirty or blocked filter.
2. Check the evaporator coil for blockage.
(This will be located on top of your furnace if your vents are in the ceiling or the bottom of your furnace if your vents are in the floor. A metal box will hold the evaporator coil. Take the
screws off the face of the evaporator coil case. This will expose the evaporator coil. Check to see if it is dirty or blocked...... Look for brown dirty, fuzzy, lint looking particles.
3. If you have power to the fan and your filter is clean. My
best guess is a dirty or blocked evaporator coil. If that's the case you will need to clean it. Check for directions on how to clean on products designed for cleaning evaporator coils.
4. Since you stated "little/no air flow" I've eliminated a freon problem.

with mine sometimes a window gets left open next to the ac and so all the cold air goes right out the window. make sure any windows nearby are shut. also if it feels hot or if it gets frost on it turn it off it's overworked.
Check the filter.
If you open a window or two throughout the house just a tiny bit, that helps circulate the air.
it depends weather or not you have a direct drive motor or a belt driven motor. if its a belt drive make sure its not loose. and make sure the squirrel cage is ok and tight to the motor shaft.
First check to make sure its not freezing up, or that he didn't get the filter properly installed. If you can, check to insure blower is running on its high speed (black wire). Also check that no return air grilles are blocked, and no supplys are closed off.
One thing is that some techs seem to forget to check your squrille cage fan cups, If they are dirty and half filled with dust and dirt this would cause a decrease in fan preformance. Also you may have dust and dirt on your evap coil. If you clean your evap coil and clean the cups on your squirlle cage. Then you would know that your fan is working to its full capacity. Also if your motor is on low, med, or high would make a difference. If you live in a house then you may have a leak in you airduct system. This would cause less airflow.
