A.S.A.P. clotted toilet problem, somebody help?
Answers:
get a long hose like a garden hose or one of those shower hoses.
anything long and flexible, yet sturdy enough to push down there.
try to push it as far down into your toilet and pipe as you can. do a up and down motion as if you were cleaning it out
it that doesn't work, try to attach a small wire brush to the tip of it and try that again.
use the longest hose you can find to do this.

try 5 gal bucket & dump water fast into bowl. good luck.
OK bucket as much of it as you can OUT...
THEN RUN HOT WATER into the toilet...

CHECK inside the TANK the suare part on the back that people put things like toilet paper on...take off the TOP...
IS the CHAIN still hooked ON?
IF the chain is OFF or not hooked on then that is your problem ...
THERE is a lever you will see when you push down on the handle...the one you flush with...
SOMETIMES the chains break or fall off...
make sure it is attached to the lever use anything you can to attach it to the lever...

Ok, if it wont "flush", then its something in the tank on the back of the toilet. Lift the lid up and see if the chain is attached...(You dont have to "worry" as its CLEAN WATER" in the tank, and the dirty stuff doesnt come into contact, until the bottom of th bowl).
If its plugged up, then you can get a snake, and try getting it loose like that. You can get a manual snake, (basically a cable that you "force" throught the neck, on down to the sewer). Or, you can get an electric snake, that will "spin" the cable, and you hold it with a gloved hand, and force it down into the toilet, and that should force the clog to go through.
Or, you could remove the toilet, and try to force what ever it is, into the bowl, after you have removed the water, by dipping it out and tossing it outside or in the sink..(yea, you can chlorox the sink and it will be ok..sheesh!).
But, that would require a new beeswax and its a very messy job...
Get your boyfriend to do the dirty work, as men love to get thier hands dirty and know that they have helped out :)

Open the flush tank and see whats the problem. Is there water entering the flush tank? The problem should be there.
Obviously you have a clog somewhere. But you already knew that. It can either be in the toilet, or the line that takes the waste away. As others suggested, try a plumbers snake but they are hard to work through the bends in the toilet. You may need to take the toilet out and clear the line. I know. But my son put a plastic toy down a toilet when he was little and it would not go down the line. That's what I had to do.
Waste lines usually have a 'clean out' somewhere in the line. Usually in the basement. It is a large plug, about 4" - 5" in diameter with a square notch to remove the cover. But this can be messy. Be certain to have some buckets with you to catch what ever might come out.

You can buy a 3 ft auger which is a toilet specific snake from Home Depot for about $40, usually Ridgid or General brand name.
It is easy to use, and you'll never need a plunger again. Just buy a box of latex if you're worried about getting dirty. I always where latex when I do drain work.
I operate a drain cleaning company in the New Orleans area and charge at least $75 for that type of visit.
