I have recently installed a new attic fan and it won't run. What can I try before replacing it?
Answers:
Look at the thermostat setting on the fan. See if it is set above the point you want it on,. if so, lower the setting. See also if the power is getting to the fan wiring. There is also a possibility you bought a 220 fan. They will sometimes run on low power but not usually.
Did you replace the fuse? Or remember to turn on the circuit breaker?
Make sure you have power to the fan and check thermostat settings in that order.
Other answers:
I assume that there is a thermostat that is supposed to energize the fan. Try bypassing that to see if it's the fan or the thermostat. If it is a new fan, it's less likely to be the motor and more likely a minor component, or wiring/power issue.

Sometimes they tie down a fan's blades in packaging to prevent damage, have you ensured it's not that?
Electricity is on?
Switch is on?
It's plugged in?
It's right side up?
make sure you have voltage to the fan
