I am not sure what got stuck in the toilet but our toilet is clogged. Please HELP!?

I been using a plunger for an hour and trying with a snake a few times but still no success. I am not sure what got stuck, but I think it's my boyfriend's hair. (He was trimming his hair and flush everything down the toilet) The water came back up and I can see his hair was floating around, so I plunged for half an hour, now the hair is gone but the toilet still clogged and it's full of toilet water. Any suggestion to get our toilet unclogged before we take the toilet apart?

Answers:
1> You could remove the toilet from its mounting, (2 bolts)
Run a powered snake through the drain, most rental shops have powered snakes. After you unclog it you will need a new wax replacement for the toilet bottom (get one that also comes with replacement bolts)

2> A cheaper fix that might work is a attachment that is place on the end of your garden hose. (it looks like a black tube about 8" long.) You stuff it down a main clean out, or from the roof of your home down the main drain pipe. Push the hose with the attachment as far as you can in the pipe. You turn on the water, the center of the attachment will swell holding its placement in the pipe sealing all water from comming back. It will build up lots of water and pressure untill it can force the clog through the pipe and into your sewer/septic system. (these tubes come in two sizes one for main drains, the other for small drain near kitchen/laundryroom. (These range in price 8 to 15 dollars depending where you go.)

3> If your home does not have a sewer system, it could be possible you might need to clean or check out your septic tank / sesspool.

nope. The snake thing is about it.

This is messy, but if you use the plunger, and scoop whatever is there out of the toilet bowl ( dispose of it somewhere). Add clean water and repeat. you MIGHT be able to get enough out whatever it is to unclog it. Other than that, you can either call a plumber, or take it apart.

Sometimes something like a small plastic bottle will be wedged in there and won't come out. I have had to fix alot of toilets. If this is the case, it is not impossible to remove the toilet and get it out by pushing a snake up through the bottom. Expect to mop up some water.
Many plumbers will simply replace the toilet at this point because of the difficulty and danger of breakage.
i had the same problem!only i paid a plumber to tell me not to flush my tampons!believe it or not they get stuck deep in the pipes so i would snake deeper GOOd LUCK!!
look around the wall behind the toilet for a clean-out plug unscrew the cap and run your snake down the pipe.Or stick a garden hose in it and run full water pressure down it.might want to seal around the hose with a towel or rag incase you get a back flush of the ickies
