My central air has stop working.I clean the filters,and change fuse it work 5 minutes compressor stop.?

The fuses outside one of them gets very hot and turns dark on top.here again the compressor stops,and just the furnance is running,if I shut it off and wait a few minutes,turn it on the compressor will run for about twenty minutes and shut off.

The fuse, or circuit breaker must be undersized, check the rating needed for the central ac unit.
The winding of the compressor has become weak so it is taking high amperes after running. Check the amperes of the compressor with an amphere meter and the fuse installed.
Check the input and output voltage with an volt meter. There can be a burnt contact in the mainswitch, contactor, or loose connection somewhere in the power line upto the compressor. Shut off the power and tighten all the connections.
Check Capicitor and Potential relay if the central ac is of single phase.
If all this dosent work then you have to call an ac technician

its getting too hot, have you cleaned off the vents on the outdoor part of the ac?
