how do i get rid of the black mold on my window sills?

I have has sucess with diluted bleach, but of course back it comes. Any ideas about long term removal.

Answers:
long term means you need to get it dried out and have your windows changed. It appears because it is damp. It will always come back if it is damp.

i think there is something made for that, check home depot

u can use kerosene. after washing it with keroses, u have to wash it with a detergent to get the kerosene off.
Mold will always come back if conditions outside are good for it to. If you're in a very humid or wet area, not much you can do except keep cleaning it.
If you repaint, try a premium mildew resistant paint instead.
Black Mold is very dangerous! You need to address the source first (What is causing it) Ussally water. Then once the problem is fixed you need to completely replace anything that had the mold. Do you rent? The owner could get in trouble for allowing you to live with Black mold. If you do rent contact the board of health otherwise do it yourself.
Oh you may want to see a doctor.
use Kilz primer, it is a water stain sealer. we use it for mold damage in framing... if it will stop mold in the walls, it will definantly stop it on the sills.
Well 1st you need to find out why you have mold. IE a leaky window seal/broken galss and so on and fix the problem 1st
2nd belive it or not depending on where you live companys that take care of mold they use Simple green (you can find this at any store you go to for the most part.)
I know it sounds wierd but thats what you use to clean it up.
But the biggest thing is to find out why your getting the mold and fix it then clean up and problem solved.
I have been in the field for 20yrs and finding the problem is the 1st thing you need to do.
Goodluck
1/2 bleach 1/2 water mixed thoroughly and applied to the mold. Wash clean.
EASY.. Get a spray bottle... like an empty windex plastic bottle.. mix it half and half with clorox and water and spray it.. that will kill the black mold... THAT.. however, is not the real problem. The real problem is trying to determine why it (the window sill) is wet/damp in the first place.
There are a couple of mold remover sprays on the market,
but the mold is going to continue to come back, unless you eliminate the reason the mold is growing in the first place. Mold loves to grow in a warm, humid environment especially where there is stagnant air.
Change the environment where the mold is occurring if you want ti get rid of it permanently.
