Need to paint cracking paint on ciderblock foundation?
I think problem was there are 5 layers of paint and when I bought my house 2 years ago they just slapped inside latex paint to tidy up the 1 foot high cider block foundation on my Rancher where it meets the siding.
Too bad siding doesn't touch the ground as on garage--no painting!
Answers:
Spray a stripper on as an alternative to blasting , get a turbo tip for a pressure washer and get 6" - 2 - 8" away it will rip through all the lossened paint then go to ICI Paints OR Sherwin Williams and get a block filler (be sure to let the concrete dry before applicatoin ) the paint with a finish coat of your choice !!

yes, you must remove the old paint or it will look the same in 6 months. I recommend sand blasting although it mat be expensive where you live then get paint made for painting block.

Use a Pressure washer- and scrape, then use a good primer then paint-
