GE XL44 Oven Does Not Work?
Answers: If you can remove the lower broiler or pots and pan drawer, whichever you have, turn the oven control to burn and turn up the thermostat to about 350, consequently watch the igniter lower than the oven pan. If it doesn't glo at adjectives, then it's diffenitely broken, if it does glo, but have a really bright spot at one point in the part, then likelihood are it's cracked. In either event, most times it will be this glo igniter that's at slate. It has to warmness to a certain temp to allow a in no doubt voltage to pass thru the stoneware element and achieve to the gas safety spout at the lower rear of the collection. Once that valve receive the proper voltage it opens and allows gas into the burner, which ignite when it hits the glowing thing.
