Does a hose down softner lift lime/calcium out of the hose?

we have a dampen softner but still have creamy white build up on faucets, etc... How do we keep this from occurring?


Answers:    Well something's not working. There shouldn't be any mineral deposits if the section is sized correctly and is working properly. Obvious questions include:
Is within salt surrounded by the brine tank?
How normally does the unit re-generate?
What's the dimensions of the unit?
What's your complicated water count?
