the food in my fridge accumulates water ontop of containers... my fridge is in the garage. how do i fix this?
Answers:
Excess condensation in a refrigerator is caused by humid air entering the cabinet. Assuming you are not opening the door excessively, this probably indicates a leaky door gasket seal.

Get a dehumidifier to get rid of excess moisture in garage.
Check the door seals to make sure there are no cracks and tears. If there is replace them, its fairly easy. :D Good Luck
use a box of baking soda
There is probably a leak somewhere, however try increasing the setting
condensation is a by product of chillers. there will be a condensation drawer which you have to empty once in a while. it's absolutely normal and nothing you can do.
Some fridges have a knob, inside beside the colder/warmer knob, to turn when the weather is more humid. You may have a stopped up drain where the moisture leaves the fridge. Take out the drawers on bottom and see if the drain hole needs cleaning. You can use a coat hanger to ck further down the drain but be careful not to damage the drain tubing. Some fridges have a tray underneath that holds the moisture and it can be emptied also if the humidly is high. If it can't evaporate normally because of the humidity, it can start smelling.
The defrost drain could be blocked and the water is not going down the drain but is running out where ever it can and is landing on top of the containers. Depending on the make and model the remedy varies and usually is simple. Click on my name to contact me and give me the specifics and I can assist you further.
