Anyone know of a good NYC plumber or contractor whom can fix a basement flood?

Basement floods when it rains hard and the house is new so I'm clueless on how to fix it.

Answers:
You don't need a plumber, you need a waterproofing contractor.

If the house is brand new, less than a year old, it should have a warranty. Contact the builder to discuss the problem - they should fix it at no cost to you. If they give you a hard time, call 311 and ask them how you can get a city agency involved in helping you out.

If the house is not under warranty, try to get a recommendation for a waterproofing contractor from people you know who have used one. Otherwise, look in the yellow pages under waterproofing contractors. Get multiple estimates to correct the problem, get references on their work (other customers, if possible).
